The main purpose of the Fire Eater training course is to equip service technicians with the right skills to enable them to carry out service and maintenance on Fire Eater Inergen systems in accordance with the applicable guidelines.

Service technician training course
The course consists of an approximately 5-hour e-learning course that guides you through the product and installation steps. You can take the course whenever it suits you and return to it as needed. Here you will gain in-depth knowledge of how to service and maintain an Inergen system from Fire Eater.
A toolkit containing all the necessary installation tools is required prior to training.
The course familiarises participants with the different extinguishing agents on the market, with special focus on Inergen®. You receive a comprehensive introduction to Fire Eater components, e.g. Fire Eater’s Control Inert system (Ci system), stand-alone system, valves and activation options.
Optionally, we offer a half-day of hands-on training, held either on your premises or at Fire Eater.
Skills acquired from the training course
Upon completion of the course you should be able to service a Fire Eater Inergen system correctly. This applies to both general service and the handling of cylinders for stand-alone and multi-zone systems. Your skills will also extend to the proper handling and service of equipment under pressure, valves, actuation, pipes, pressure relief, etc.
Terms and Conditions
Before the course starts, it is essential that you order and receive the toolkit of necessary installation equipment to be used for performing service and maintenance on Inergen systems.
For the optionally hands-on training, we usually limit the number of participants for the service technician course to 10-12 people at a time.
The course is conducted in English, so you must be able to speak and write English reasonably well.
Both the online and the hands-on course concludes with an exam, passing which provides you with a certificate, which is valid for 3 years from the date of issue. Renewal takes the form of a digital course which ensures the upgrading of all necessary competence.
The service of detection systems and control panels is not included in the standard training course. It is possible that separate courses on topics that are not covered in the standard course may additionally be held.
