Fire Eater Appoints Bill Polits as Regional Sales Director, North America

Fire Eater, a global leader in advanced fire suppression solutions, today announced that Bill Polits has joined the company as Regional Sales Director, North America, supporting
Fire Eater’s U.S. sales organization with a focus on market development, specification engagement, and channel support for inert gas fire suppression systems.

Polits brings more than 15 years of experience in clean agent fire suppression, with deep expertise in chemical clean agents — the legacy technologies most often evaluated alongside inert gas systems as environmental and regulatory considerations continue to evolve.

His background spans operating roles, commercial leadership, and consulting engagements, with a particular emphasis on regulatory, environmental, and market-transition dynamics affecting fire suppression system selection.

In his role at Fire Eater, Polits will focus on expanding adoption of inert gas fire suppression systems (IG systems) by working closely with engineers, engineering firms, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), end users, and channel partners. His work will center on early-stage specification engagement, complex project positioning, and helping stakeholders evaluate inert gas systems within the evolving regulatory and climate context facing halocarbon-based alternatives.

Polits is widely known for his strong field credibility and relationships with installer and service companies, developed through years of direct commercial engagement, including experience as a major supplier of agents and services to installers, OEMs and the US Department of Defense, as well as a seasoned buyer of reclaimed agents. This perspective provides practical insight into how systems are specified, installed, maintained, and ultimately selected in real-world applications.
