Fuzion is a co-location provider. They provide rack space, cooling, electricity, access control and surveillance for all their customers’ equipment. In regard to fire protection the most important thing for Fuzion is that they have a system working 24/7/365. It has to be easy to operate and it has to have the highest quality of standard. Probably the most important thing with our relation to Fire Eater is, that they are available 24/7 whenever we have a need.
The first Inergen system from Fire Eater was installed in 2001. Altogether they have 15 systems installed on three different locations. They have 46 cylinders of Inergen, all of them 80 liters.
Fuzion has two types of systems. They have Stand Alone system meaning that one battery protects one area. They also have systems with selector valves meaning that one battery can protect areas in two different zones.
“The advantages of using Inergen in a data center is if you have a fire and the Inergen is released, you do not have any damage to equipment in the room. Further if there are people in the room it is safe to be in the room when the agent is released.
