Safety at the Forefront of Judicial Operations – The Supreme Court of Cyprus Chooses Inergen® for Critical Fire Protection

At the Supreme Court of Cyprus, safety and security are paramount, especially where fire protection is concerned. Recognizing the importance of safeguarding critical areas such as archives and server rooms, the Supreme Court commissioned Wave Electronics Ltd to install Inergen Fire Extinguishing systems, ensuring continuous and disruption-free judicial operations.

Reliable and effective fire protection

As the highest judicial authority in Cyprus, the Supreme Court is responsible for maintaining the integrity of vital legal documents and crucial digital infrastructure. The need for a reliable and effective fire protection solution was critical, especially for areas housing sensitive information and technology.

Key rooms protected with Inergen

Wave Electronics Ltd undertook the installation of Inergen systems from fire Eater in 24 key rooms across the Supreme Court premises. The project involved:

  • 34 units of 80L 300bar cylinders
  • 9 units of 50L 300bar cylinders
  • 1 unit of 30L 300bar cylinder

Additionally, 24 Fire Extinguishing panels, 24 Aspirating Smoke Detectors, and 53 Optical Smoke Detectors were installed. The system also included 28 Fire Dampers and 6 in-line duct fans. Each room underwent integrity testing for leaks, and the systems were certified to meet the minimum hold time as per EN 15004:2019 standards.

High level of security

The implementation of the Inergen Fire Extinguishing systems has significantly enhanced the fire safety infrastructure of the Supreme Court of Cyprus. Similar to the Copenhagen Airport’s experience, where Inergen provided reliable fire protection for over 30 years with minimal incidents, the Supreme Court now benefits from a high level of security against fire-related disruptions. The efficient and environmentally friendly nature of the Inergen systems ensures the safety of both personnel and critical assets, providing peace of mind and continuity in operations.
